i was really diggin this other one the other day while i toiled away on the treadmill. i can thank the dead for getting back in shape. the whole show is great, but the other one really struck me as exceptional. you all need to check this one out. let me know your mind.

McG - For the past 1.5 years, I have listened to nothing BUT the Dead when I workout. I can imagine that, for someone that doesn't get the music, GD music would seem like a dreadful workout soundtrack. I think the reason it works so well is that it is, after all, "head" music, and when you get your workout high going, the sound is so much more enhanced that when you're in a resting state.

I had the 9/28/72 Other One going the other day on the treadmill, and the opening 5 minutes of inspired rounds swirled like magic in my mind. So, I'm with you.... 100%!

Me too...early era stuff esp, of course...allows for detailed analysis and taking your mind off the "work" out...

I listen exclusively to shows while riding my bike. Nothing beats a marathon 73 or 74 show. I swear those guys knoe where the hills are and by the time I pul in to the driveway I fell like I've been dancing the whole time. You know, ya gotta be sweating to really appreciate an encore.

hey pctcandp! I too listen while doing my daily bike w/o and you are right about the help-on-the-hills.....My season is just about over,but I plan on going to Fla in Jan,Feb and start my spring cycling early...
